Mithridates VI; b. 134, d. 63 BC, was king of Pontus and Armenia Minor in northern Anatolia from about 119 to 63 BC. Mithridates was a king of Persian origin, and claimed descent of King Darius the Great. This bust is a copy of the ancient classic that currently resides in The Louvre. Read more
